First Blog!!

Showing My expression on Word Press will be very enjoyment and amusement. The things that I will talk about and the things I will say will be worth your time. With that being said I am Donovan Shields. I go to Marquette High School in Chesterfield MO and its a very popular school well known. Some things I like to do is to wright and I also like to do Public speaking. But not saying i’m the best at it I have a passion for it. Things that I love to do on my free time is to sleep, eat ,watch YouTube. I have a YouTube channel and its Donovan Shields and I have 43 subscribers and I do everything from Pranks, vlogs,Q&A and more. That just a little bit of what I like to do. I hope to get really good at becoming a better writer and getting good feed back from who may ever read this. And gain confidence in my writing. Writing was never a passion of mind when I was younger but then I fell in love with it. How I new that I liked to wright goes back all the way freshman year. Four years ago that how long it has been.

There was a time in ninth grade when our teacher as us too wright an paper on anything and put it in MLA format and I was very confused because she never showed us until after we turned in the paper because we use to always wright on paper step by step. So I go home about to wright my paper so I’m thinking OK maybe y she mean put MLA in the Conner of the document. Well I guess not because the day I turned it in my teacher look at this and said it is not this is no were near correct so she gave it back to me. I worked and work on it so I finally got it and turned it in. After I had ask for help. So my point is that anything is possible and just because there is a problem or its not the best first paper. You can fall in warmth with writing.

So my goal on Word Press is to write two blogs a week and give good story on here and maybe help someone out if they might be going through something. Also another one of my goals for this website and to make my blog fun and interesting is to give what the people want. What I mean by that is I want just put anything out that I don’t think people will read. I want something that people will really enjoy so I can have good feed back and people that look to reading the next one or waiting until the next blog come out. I hope than I can produce good blogs and do more in the future. Thank you and this is my first Blog so don’t judge to fast.

Introduce Yourself (Example Post)

This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus you own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
